توضیحات اپیزود

'Bhabi Maina' is the story of a young Jain widow in search of human affection and ideal love. Social restrictions and familial expectations prevent her from interacting with a young teen of her street. What happens when she does manage to break those barriers - listen to this narration to discover. Gurbaksh Singh Preet Lari (1895-1977) is a unique signature of Punjabi literature. He was a novelist, short story writer, prose writer and a dreamer. He was an engineering graduate from what is now known as IIT Roorkee, and a civil engineering graduate from Uni of Michigan, Ann Arbor. An idealist, he established Preet Nagar township which was equidistant from Amritsar and Lahore, and where he invited prominent writers and artists like Balraj Sahni, Nanak Singh, Sobha Singh, Faiz, Sahir, Ashq, Gargi, and Duggal to come and live and write. Preet Nagar township had a community kitchen, an activity based school, a park, and spaces for physical, artistic, political, economic activities. Preet Nagar suffered the vagaries of the winds of 1947 when most of its inhabitants migrated to Delhi and other cities. His own family returned to live there with a few other families. In 1933, he founded a journal called Preet Lari which though struggling, is still being published. The title of this journal gave him the suffix of Preet Lari. Gurbaksh Singh wrote more than fifty books. (details from Wikipedia) Enjoyed the narration? Please subscribe and share this podcast with family and friends.
