Pakistan Hamara Hai (Pakistan is Ours) is a poignant story of a Hindu woman who has made peace with her new abode which was India till yesterday and is now Pakistan. Unaware of the political upheaval, she has converted, and has married a Muslim. Her life is shaken when the 'abducted' women are recovered and brought 'home'. A prolific writer, Kartar Singh Duggal wrote in almost every genre of literature including poetry, drama, short story and novel. He penned 24 collections of short stories and ten novels touching various aspects of Punjabi life from Partition to complex human relationships in recent times.
