Carter Goodrich is an award-winning LA based character designer, illustrator best known for his covers for New Yorker Magazine. Carter has worked with numerous well-known animation companies on classical movies such as Prince of Egypt, Sinbad to big companies like PIXAR, Dreamworks ,Sony, on movies such as Ratatouille, Brave, Open Season, Hotel Transylvania, The Croods, Coco, and Despicable Me to name a few. In addition to his character design work, Carter has written and illustrated seven award winning children’s books for Simon & Schuster pub. In this episode Carter talks about his artistic background, working as an illustrator for New Yorker magazine, how he started to getting into animation industry and working in Dreamworks alongside Nicolas Marlet and Carlos Grangel. Tips about character design and also about illustrating children’s book. Last but not least we talked about his upcoming projects.
