Zaruhi Galystan is an Armenian-American character designer who is most well known for her work on Coco,Luca Pixar and her Wood-burning crafts. In this podcast, we talked about Zar’s life as the first generation of Armenian immigrant to the USA, and how she got into animation. Zar also gives great tips about her process of character designing and the inspirations behind Coco. Her attention to detail and patterns and moreover her passion for wood burning and creating handmade artworks. Last but not least Zar talks about her idea of putting her art into a good cause for helping the Armenian community by creating “Animators for Armenia”.
