در این درس، وارد بخش مهمی از گفتار و نوشتار انگلیسی می‌شویم: اعداد بزرگ (Large Numbers). این موضوع به شما کمک می‌کند تا درباره‌ی پول، جمعیت، آمار، و هر چیز با عددهای بزرگ صحبت کنید. 🟩 Using Large Numbers (کاربرد اعداد بزرگ در انگلیسی) You usually write numbers larger than 100 in figures (digits). To say them, you add the word “and” before the last two digits — for example, 👉 110 = one hundred and ten. 🟩 LARGE NUMBERS (اعداد بزرگ) You can say either “one hundred” or “a hundred” — both are correct. But remember: ❌ don’t add “s” to hundred, thousand, or million. ✅ Correct: Three hundred people came to the concert. ❌ Wrong: Three hundreds people came to the concert. 🟩 STRUCTURE OF LARGE NUMBERS Number How to say it Notes 100 one hundred or a hundred 101 one hundred and one add “and” before the last part 110 one hundred and ten same rule applies 1,000 one thousand no “s” 2,500 two thousand five hundred no “and” unless you add tens 2,512 two thousand five hundred and twelve add “and” before last two digits 10,000 ten thousand straightforward 100,000 one hundred thousand no “and” here 1,000,000 one million or a million 1,200,000 one million two hundred thousand group by hundreds and thousands 1,250,500 one million two hundred and fifty thousand five hundred add “and” before final group 💡 Tip: British English often uses “and” before the final two digits (e.g., one hundred and ten), while American English sometimes omits it (one hundred ten).
